Continue your leisurely tour to visit the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur with its impressive City Palace and the nearby former capital, Amber. Experience an elephant safari and dinner at a magical location close to the city. Delve, ever deeper, into the culture, history and colors of Rajasthan with a stay in Mandawa- the quaint town well known for its frescoes and ancient art of painting.

Holiday Essential Information 2011
 

Essential Info

Dates : 26th February - 12th March 2011 AVAILABLE

Day 1 : : Depart UK Board your overnight flight to Delhi.
Day 2 : Arrive Delhi On arrival in Delhi’s international airport, you will be assisted at the
airport by local tour manager for transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day
free for independent activities. In the evening, welcome drinks with
Charles and your tour manager to get introduced to the forthcoming
painting sessions in the tour in which you will capture the sights and the
colours of magical India.
Day 3 : In Delhi After a leisurely breakfast, we set out to explore and contrast the myriad
sights of Old and New Delhi. Early evening a painting session with
Charles. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4 : To Agra After an early breakfast, we drive to the ancient Moghul city of Agraalso
popularly called the ‘city of the Taj’. On arrival, we check in at our
heritage hotel. Later we will visit the Agra Fort. Early evening we set
our canvases out to capture the colours and bustling sights of Agra city
under the expertise of Charles. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 5 : In Agra Early morning we will visit to the world famous Taj Mahal at sunrise as our experienced guide narrates the story behind this world famous monument of love. After breakfast, we have the entire day time for painting with Charles. Evening at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 6 : To Jaipur After breakfast, we drive to the pink city of Jaipur enroute visiting the deserted heritage city of Fatehpur Sikri. In the afternoon, our private experienced guide gives us a tour of Jaipur including the famous City Palace; the Observatory and the Palace of Winds. Evening at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 7 : In Jaipur In the morning, we take a guided excursion to Amer Fort- ascending on this hill top fort on an elephant back or on a jeep. Rest of the day, we have painting session with Charles Evans to capture the sights explored and the local life. Evening at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 8 To Mandawa After breakfast, we drive to rustic village of Mandawa. On arrival, check in at Castle Mandawa for 3 nights stay. Rest of the day free to explore the sleepy village at your own pace and don’t forget to capture
the local life in your camera! Evening cultural performance by residents
of the village.
Day 9 : In Mandawa Time for painting sessions with Charles.
Day 10 : In Mandawa Time for painting sessions with Charles.
Day 11 :  To Neemrana In the morning, we drive to the quaint town of Neemrana. On arrival, we check in at Neemrana fort palace. Afternoon, we explore the fort followed by time for painting session with Charles. In the evening, farewell dinner hosted by Indian Odyssey as our group exchanges experiences and ideas; and souvenirs’
Day 12 :  Depart Delhi Early morning, we drive to Delhi’s international airport in time to board our return flight. Bringing home memories of flavours and colours of India- captured in our paintings and illustrations!
