It was the annually
Christmas paint a long on Saturday which for a chance was held
up at the Cook & Barker, my local, which everyone will have
heard me mention at some point, and what a fabulous night it
was.
We all painted a village church scene in snow with an interval
in the middle during the Cook & Barker provided lovely home made
soup with fresh bread, we had tea, coffee, mulled wine and the
best mince pies I've ever tasted. All in all a lovely
night and a cracking way to start the Christmas period.

Well the last show has been done before
Christmas. It all starts again fairly
early in the new year with workshops at
home. But now its time for a rest. It
has been an exceptionally busy year and
my new car which I bought at the end of
January this year has now got over 51000
miles on it. I've covered just about
every part of England, quite a bit of
Scotland, southern Ireland twice, France
3 times, as well as Tuscany and
Switzerland and most pints in-between.
What a whirlwind of a year its been and
I thrive on it.
The big shows were amazing this year,
with the NEC in November being the best
one I can ever remember. As well as all
the painting holidays and shows I have
visited so many art societies, promoting
and demonstration the good name of
Winsor & Newton (of course I use nothing
but their materials). All that's
left to say at this point is that I hope
that everyone else has had a good year
and that they are now ready for a lovely
Christmas. So from Brett, Janet
and Charlie we wish you all a fabulous
Christmas and a very prosperous New
Year.

Some of our most popular workshops are
based outdoors in and around our local
area here in Northumberland.
The workshops are based in the studio which we use just in case the
weather turns against us. With the weather
on our side, we will travel out each day
to paint locations such as Druridge Bay,
Warkworth Castle, The River Coquet and
various barns and little hideaways in
the immediate area.
