Competition

Next Month Theme Birds... Closing Date 15th April 2010

Every month Charles Evans Art will be giving away £100 worth of FREE art materials!

Due to the high proportion of entries being from the same people every month we have decided to make the competition bi-monthly.

All you have to do is paint a picture and submit your image via email to charles@charlesevansart.com.

Brett and I will judge the entries and then award the prize, the winning painting will be posted on the site. We will be judging the competition on the 15th of every other month.

There have been quite a number of comments that quite a lot of the same people seem to feature on a monthly basis. All we can say is that we pick the best painting to be first second and third. We will never bias the competition in any way. It is purely on merit. Having said that in future all entrants must be firstly none professional and secondly customers of Charles Evans Art or Charles Evans School Of Art.

So good luck and we look forward to seeing your entries.

This competition is not open to professional artists.

January 2009 Results : Winter Scene
The good news is the standards were incredibly high this month and there were more entries than ever. The bad news is you made it an absolute nightmare to chose the winners. I actually said to Brett, "cant we award 20 or 30 prizes?". So especially well done to this months winners. Its obviously got to be a heck of a lot harder this coming month and with that in mind the topic is city painting.

December 2008 Results : Mediterranean
Firstly may we apologise for the lateness of judging the competition this month.  Its the usually madness in the lead up to the paint-a-long and general confusion at Evans HQ.  As ever the standard was extremely high but I think that these 3 fit the brief most of all. Well done to one and all. The theme for next months competition surprise surprise, a winter scene. Now this doesn't have to be snow, but can be. Just a winter scene. Good luck and Happy Christmas.

June 2008 Results : Water
Well done to everyone this month, the competition entries were exceptional. Its got to be said the only regrets I have about launching this competition is just how difficult it has been to judge them each month. We had always intended to just give a first prize. But straight away those hopes were dashing, so it looks like every month we will be giving a 2nd and 3rd as well.

1st John Brennan

2nd Karen Oxley

3 Richard Dickenson

April 2008 Results : Summer Scene
The competition results are as follows....

First place and winner over £100 worth of art materials is Alan Shaw. But it has to be said the standards was so high and with differing styles that we decided we would give a second and third prize as well. Each of these people were send an art of oil book by Charles Evans.  Well done to everyone who entered the competition, a lot of thought and effort obviously went into every entry so keep those entries coming for next months competition and the theme is water.

Second place goes to Richard Dickinson and third place to John Conner.

1st Place : Alan Shaw

2nd Place : Richard Dickinson

3rd Place : John Conner
